Just to clear things up. The Tanabe is Ti muffler only. Greddy is Ti muffler and piping. That's why Tanabe weighs 20 lbs and Greddy only weighs 9 lbs. Greddy may not be "100%" Ti, but it's damn close.

I do like the way the tip is slash cut on the Tanabe. Here is a sound clip if you haven't heard it yet.

Yes, too bad the clamp and hanger aren't titanium, probably would shave off another 1lb. or so. But I am happy with it as it is.

For example (see I said example) if you have a 3'" stainless steel pipe and another 3" titanium pipe, how can there be any difference in performance if they are both the same diameter?

The Greddy Ti is not 3" it is 80MM which is slightly larger than 3". Plus the wall thickness of Ti is less.

With most people going the Greddy and HKS route it was obvious the Tanabe had a down side. If you can call it a down side, its still a great exhaust and www.500whp.com described it as part stainless so I knew what I was getting.

I see that everybody likes the Greddy. I actually got a carbon fiber heatshield so Im not worried. My other question is if the Greddy is compatible with any 3 inch downpipe out there or will there be fitment issues. See I want to install it all at once so I dont have to pay labor twice. Thanks.
