there really is no best - there is a best that suits your needs. First ask yourself if you are doing stock turbo or will upgrade. Also, some require you to trim the bumper support, others dont. Price also comes into play. Some come with pipes, some don't - you get my drift...lot's of things to ask yourself

There are lots of good choices out there...and in fact I have yet to hear of anyone who was not happy with their upgrade

This question is certainly impossible to answer. Ask around, you'll get to hear what people like and what people dont like. If you are taking votes, I'll vote for Buschar.

Stock is surprisingly good, Vishnu's Car and Driver supercar challenge used it. But I believe the stock hoses kept blowing off, so some Samcos should fix that.

speaking of, what are our intercooler size and the largest that could fit there without moving the front bumper crush support?

It is cheesy, but the numbers/specs of various FMIC are there:

The problem I have with it is that like so many others, you have to cut the OE under tray... which I am absolutely not willing to do!

you're right, it's cheesy but it's really informative. i like the break down at the end.

I've actually found the same specification or close to nisei FMIC, but it's 4" in depth... and not evo specific...
