I'm in the same shoe as you. I'm thinking about selling the car but the hit is too much. I'm just glad I didn't end up paying stealer**** mark-up. 5K per year depreciation sucks! First and last MIT for me

 

i bought mine in colorado with 13K on it stock for 26K and it was silver just to give u an idea.... that was about 4-5 months ago

I looked at the FX, not my style, I hate rounded cars. I like nice crisp edges like the evo has. Round cars make me vomit.

I bought my '03 used in May '04. 9900 miles. $26,998. Silver, both options (wing and sunroof). Houston, TX. I bought it at CarMax, which is about the most expensive way to buy a used car.

Not long after I bought it, guys in the Houston area started getting new '03s for even less than I bought mine used, because the dealers had leftovers on their lots (<RANT ON> no doubt from dicking around serious customers like me who resorted to going to CarMax <RANT OFF>).


I know a guy who just traded an '03 with about 10k miles in on an '05 RS. The best he could get from a dealer was $23k - and he had to go from Texas to California to get it.

 

Yeah, trade in is about the worst way to go, they have to make money somehow and it comes right out of your pocket.
