Again, plymouth laser 89-94.

6K FAST Laser!

5.5K 12.5sec 1/4 Laser

4.5K Modified AWD Turbo Laser

These are cheaper than a GSX or a TSi

Subaru makes the Impreza, not Acura. However, that Impreza L wouldnt be bad either. They have a smaller engine, but the car is a bit lighter. A 2.5RS for 6k would be kinda fishy, but an L for 6k sounds just about right. I've got tons of Suby friends with both. As far as the RS, look for pre-02 to get the best deal w/most features. Great car, reliable, and LOTS of power potential. Same with the L though, that 2.2 litre is very turbo friendly.

With the 2 that have mods, do you know if it would be a good idea to try and learn on a modded / aftermarket clutch? Or do you think it would make no difference from a stock one.

Yeah.. I'd rather just stick to the TSI, GSX, and Laser over the subbys, more expensive too.

Well, since it's a DSM, an aftermarket clutch probably wouldn't feel that different from an aftermarket Evo clutch, and most of the aftermarket evo clutches claim stock like driveability, so one could deduce that it would make no difference. IMHO, it would be better to learn on something hard to drive, that way when you step into the evo, it'll be a breeze

If it were me I'd buy the last one. It's the cheapest and the ad strikes me as being written by the more mature of the 3.

The big 16G is the same turbo the evo has. It was a common upgrade from the little 16G that came on the early DSM's.

So would the last one have the same engine as the GSX and the TSI?
If that one has the big 16 why wouldnt I want to get that?

Yeah they all three have the same engine. That one is fine too. Honestly I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. The last just strikes me as being owned by someone older which means it's less likely it saw as much abuse. That's just my brief interpretation of the ads though. All three seem like very good deals.

i know most of you wont agree with me on this one but why not just get the evo or sti and learn on that? clutches obviously do the same thing but feel different on different cars, so he might as well get used to the clutch on the car he is goin to be driving in the future. i had to learn in a porsche so i know the fear of stalling it... but everyone has, so i think just getting used to it (and stalling it a couple of times) would be a better idea than downing 6 g's on another car THEN 30 on the evo/ sti

^ I kind of agree a bit. That 6k could make a nice down payment on the STi/EVO. Find a good used one of either, put that 6k down and you're most likely looking at financing in the 20-22k range. Besides, every car is a bit different as far as the clutch goes, so you're gonna have to learn the little quirks of those cars as well. Just a though

I would recommend get a fun car instead of powerful car. AE86 Trueno (toyota Corrola year 86) is your best bet!
if i have money i would buy that as my daily beater ^_^
if you must get an AWD, go get any 90's subaru with stick.
