Anyone test rolling start numbers for a stock evo...like 40-70 3rd gear, or 40-60 2nd gear, etc...? Im interested to find out what a stock evo should be putting up.

Any times with modded evos, also?

 

I usually do 40-80mph pulls in third gear to determine benefits of changes. With all my current mods besides the cams I would usually run around 4.2-4.25 seconds. I like this test range because it runs from 3368 to 6737 RPM, showing effects on the full power band.

There was also a thread created a while back with people posting 40-70 times in third gear, although I don't believe many people posted.

I think I will try to establish some benchmarks for myself as well. None to share at this time though.

PVD04, how do you like your setup? I'm planning to add 264s next, and have similar mods minus the FMIC and intake. Did you just drop the cams in with no cam gears and the mail-in flash? That's the route I'm probably going with, so I'm hoping you had a good experience.

I love the setup. It's great for every-day driving and still has a ton of pull. I didn't use cam gears with the 264s. They work great at 0-0. As far as the flash, I actually told Mark at TT that I was going to add cams and had the SAFC, so he adjusted my timing curve but left my A/F curve for me to adjust after the cams were installed. So far it seems to be working great. I'm planning to get a full custom tune eventually, but need to save up a little money first. Good luck,
