I think the knickname "Scooby Doo" (shortened to Scooby) originated in the UK as a kind of Cockey rhyming slang for Subaru.

The catch was that I would take over in payments for his 04 sti, which is actually helping me out and much appreciated. He's driven my evo which has RMR exhaust, intake and rear sway bar and liked it alot more than his sti, even when it was stock. His sti only has 10k miles and is bone stock except for factory short shifter and slotted brembo rottors. His new MR is beautiful and IMO the contrast of the dark BBS on the silver looks much better than on the graphite gray, I'm jelaous. Off course I agreed to the propostion since it was financially better and my father has been more than good to me and he deserves it. When I was driving home from mitsu in my black sti I started to miss my evo. The bumpy and ridgid ride was gone along with loud deep exhaust and the spool and intake pshhh was gone But what I missed most was the incredible feeling of being conected to the road and incredible handling and steering response which is very superior to the sti's. I had also just ordered a carbing CF front lip which shipped out today, so now my dad has an early bday gift for his MR which made him happy. The sti isn't so bad and I was thinking about modding it at MZM in Austin. But the more I think about it the more likely I will save my $$ and trade the sti for a new RS. So I have switched over to the dark side for the time being. Now I have to get to know the suby world and get more intimate with my sti because I don't know that much about it compared to the evo. I'll post pictures of the new MR and sti sometime, the MR looks so much nicer IMO.
You're lucky dude. You've now owned 2 cars that most car guys would give their left arm for. Instead of looking at this like a loss (no more Evo), try to approach it simply as a change...for better or for worse is up to you. Your old man has an MR I'm sure he'd be more than happy to let you drive occasionally. On top of that you have an STi torque monster in your name. With the Evo you mod the engine. With that STi you mod the suspension. Look at this as an opportunity and a challenge. I don't think it will take much money to get that STi to handle like an Evo. Additionally, once you throw on an exhaust you'll fall in love with that boxer engine just like you fell in love with the 4g63...albeit for different reasons.

I know how you feel, I sold my evo few months ago which was '03 with mods, I said thats fine and i bought 01 S4 BUT after 2-3 months everything changed again and i missed the evo and asking my self why i did that!, so i said screw it IAM getting RS since its cheaper so i got 05 RS.

StI is pretty nice! too, ones you put that catback! you will like it even more!
