If you look at the tracks in Japan now. EVO's are running lap times with GTR's now. Pretty impressive.

But we're not getting the JDM model, suspension is different, example, they have inverted struts on all 4 corners, USDM only has them on the front.

I say you want something people will stare at because they know what it is, get the Z. You want something people will stare at trying to figure out what it is, EVO.

The less people know what you have the less likely chance someone will steal too!!!

Oh I doubt the Evo will be a target. Not for that reason, but, if I owned one, I'd get the best anti-theft stuff system possible. Hell, I'd find a way to electrify the body of the car while I'm not within five feet of it.

And best of all, you have a sleeper with 270HP all-wheel drive that will kick almost any cars *** in the road including a rice out civic, accords, and the neon srt-4

I wouldn't call it a sleeper with the overall styling, and the "Gran Turismo" generation of tuners running around out there. I'd say it's like a more widely released/known exotic. Not exactly recognizable to the wide public (unless a major campaign crops up). I just think that with as much as Nissan's Z is out and about people'd be more likely to recognize the Z for what it is, and would more than likely dismiss the Evo at first glance as a modified car.

What about turbocharging the Z? I know theres a bunch of packages for that now, but the stock compression ratio is 10.3:1 ! how much could you boost that with the stock internals?

And if you could, you would then have a performance match with the evo!

NISMO is supposedly working on a Kit, and there's talk that the Z's power plant will supply the new GT-R... the V6 plus a turbo, plus all wheel drive, in the front-midship format. But, who knows?

Hey StreetLancer, I heard about NISMO and that theyre coming here in the summer. I still wonder though how much they can boost an already high compression engine on our crappy fuel. I can see seven pounds of boost (half a bar approx.), but even with ecu's what more could it do? The evo is 8.8, and that can handle 18-21 pounds max on stock internals...

On the GT-R, they're not going to boost a stock block with that CR. Jeebus, don't we know anything about turbos? https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...light=cosworth <---RaX's excellent info. It will be a monster and a half (per usual).
