Isn't there a turbocharged version of the Z coming out sometime in the near future. That would be nice... I wouldn't mind getting that. As of right now though, I would rather go for the EVO.

Depends what you want out of the car. If you want a no-compromise, 4 door, quick steering car, and don't care about the interior, etc, then the Evo is the better car. If you don't need the extra room, want nice creature comforts, supple but sporty ride, go for the 350Z.

get the evo, and i'm trying not be biased. i love how both cars look and how their stat sheets add up, but the evo has at least some practicality (4 doors, a back seat , and a larger trunk).

but get what u feel is the better purchase. $30,000 is a big commitment, just dont rush into buying anything and NEVER pay over msrp for these cars if its at all possible. i hope this helps.

The 350Z is a great car, it handles extremly well at high speeds and braking is very good to, plus you can get it to do a little drifting always fun.. In my opinion i would wait to drive them both first to see which i like better, and then wait and see if in fact they are going to come out with a Turbo edition Z.... just my 2 cents....

It handles well???.....I thought it was terrible on handling it feels so heavy in the nose...and the 287hp must be overated.....I thought it felt quite slow, maybe because it was brand new....The evo is, by far, much more of a enthusiasts car

Personally, I wouldn't want to lose to a Neon SRT-4. Just wait for the testing. The evo will blow the 350Z away in performance. Not to mention the potential of upgrading hp at a much cheaper price.

Here is my take on the issue.

If you want:

1) Bling
2) Pick up chics
3) Sporty "look" and "feel"

... get a 350Z

If you want:

1) Performance
2) Don't care about looks
3) AWD + Turbo i.e. great modability

... get an EVO

You won't pick up chics in an EVO like you would in a 350Z and not matter how hard you tried to explain to a girl how "fast" your EVO is, the Bling Bling factor of the 350Z will win every time.

In my book, case closed, pick which you care about more, looks or performance and go from there.

This is probably the best, and easiest to read comparison.

GTR got it right!! I was looking at the G35 coupe and the EVO BUT upgrades for the Z and the G35 are sooo expensive and gain little in horsepower. That is where the EVO pays for itself. Exhaust systems for Z's run over 1000 with little HP gain. The aftermarket support is endless for the EVO. Plus more room. I getting a Euro EVO7.

Yes it handles like a dream. My friend's dad who's a retired Porsche test driver has a new Z sitting in his garage, along with his 911 GT3. He uses it for road racing. Stock 350Z is dyno at 250-260 to the wheels.
