In no way am I trying to discredit your nice run, but the supra needs to be given to a worthy owner

I'm still not understanding what an Electronic Dump Valve does in comparison to a Blowoff Valve...Can someone explain?

yeah.. it's an electronically activated, some are mechanically operated, exhaust cutout. what that means is. he can drive around with is normal exhaust. when he wants alittle extra power. he's had a Y section of pipe put right near the end of the downpipe. one end of it is connect to the regular exhaust. the other end is just open and thats where the actual exhaust dump valve is located. he can flip a switch and an electric motor opens a valve, and lets all the exhaust come straight out of the downpipe. then when he's ready to be quite again. he flips the switch back and the valve closes off and the exhaust is routed thru the regular exhaust.

Thanks- I apologize for all of the questions...Like I said in the newbie forum, I'm new to turbochargers so bear with me for a little while! So you could have a blowoff valve to release the pressure from inside the turbo (it releases it to prevent the turbo from spooling backward, right?), and the dump valve for the extra power? How much HP do EDV's usually add?

A kill is a kill but you have to admit the Supra driver didn't have a clue. R/T .870 and a 2.709 60' time he must have fallen aspeep at the wheel.

How different would it have been if you were driving the Supra?

The last race was with a 750whp supra from a roll and youre comparing it to a 440whp supra 1/4 race? The supra racing in the 1/4 did suck cosidering it was his first time at the track, but this was a legit kill unlike your other race which obviously the supra driver was toying with you.

Do you enjoy crapping on my threads, or are you just *really* cool?

I think I know the problem with the Supra. It is most likely on a stock auto tranny, without putting a high stall torque converter on a single turbo supra they run slow in the 1/4, the lag is just to much especially on a 67mm turbo. But with a 4000 stall converter it would be good night evo.

Good run. The Supra owner's you run are either Liars, on crack, or both. Either way good job! The first guy I believe was F^cking with you, The second guy you killed.. That Supra looked like a NA one with wheels the way it ran.
