Took a trip to Cypress today.....

Took a trip to Cypress today.....
I was going to go today but I got anxious and went last night (only about 10 miles from me). For all of you that dont know, Cypress, CA is where the Mitsubishi of North America is headquartered.
It was about 11pm and I got there and started driving around the parking lot looking for an EVO. I started getting discouraged a bit because there were dozens and dozens of mitsus but no EVO. So, I decided to drive even deeper into the coumpound (by the employee tennis courts) and to my amazement I see a lonely "Blue By You" just sitting there!!! I park right next to it and just stare in amazement. I've already seen the two at the LA autoshow but this was surreal!! I was all alone, no old asian men stading in my way or people knocking on the hood to feel how strong it is. It was just me and the EVO. AHAHAHAHA! I snapped about 5 pics on a displosable camera because I forgot my dig camera. I'll get those developed right away.
I noticed that this one was either someone's or a test model. It has soot on the exhaust pipe and the tires had clear signs of being driven. Someone also clearly did a quick waxing on it considering there were wax deposits all over the edges and groves.
The car is beautiful. I think I'm probably one of the first people to see a "Blue By You" touching the pavement! After staying there and looking at it for about 35 mins with my best friend, we went deeper into the compound to find a weird concept lancer station wagon! Imagine the lancer (not EVO) front end with volvo (or honda CRV) rear lights. Pretty interesting looking. Also, there was this new SUV called the "Endeavor". There were about 3 of them. They looked like test models too. We kept driving and we turned a corner and right there in front of our noses is a Euro spec EVO VI just sitting there in front of some test garage.
It was a great night!
For all of you that live in the area (orange county), the mitsubishi headquarters is on Katella Ave between the racetrack and disneyland (about 3 miles away). I dont remember the cross street. If you want to see the EVO (if it's still there) you enter the second driveway on the right after turning on the cross street. It will be right there facing the street parked next to an eclipse spyder right by the tennis court. Good luck!

I know I know!! I think i'm going back today again with the dig cam! I have 25 pics left on the camera before I develop it! LOL.
Anyways....the blue is much darker and WAY more beautiful then that autoweek review. Its like a royal blue....solid blue.

I'm SERIOUSLY considering the blue now. My jaw hit the floor when I saw the color.
At night it looks amazing too.

my dad is in palm springs right now for a meeting. how far is that from oragne county? can you give me directions so i can get him to go? were from indiana so we dont know our way around there real well.

I found the cross street, it's holder ave. Click on the link below to see it. It's the long vertical street that crosses katella in the middle of the map.

Well, just got back and I have about 30 - 40 pics!
You guys that want the blue are making a good choice!! I have now decided I'm definately getting blue!
