I got 05 and i got TEIN-S springs in my garage from previous evo, Would you lower
the car or keep it stock???....

I love the way the Evo looks lowered, but its suspension is so perfect stock I'm scared of ruining it by lowering it.

I had Eibach Prokits on my last car and while they were great for a year or so, they took a toll on my struts and shocks and the car handled like crap just a year after putting them on.

The Evo's setup might be a bit more sturdy lowering wise, but my experience tells me to keep it stock.

 

I did lower it about 1 1/2" with JIC coil overs, tuned by Road Race Chassis. Handles great!

coilovers are fine. springs....dunno about that.

 

Dont like tons of people on here have the tein s springs? Im curious on this topic as well b/c I want to lower my evo but Im afraid it would make the handling worse.

 

i got hotchkis springs awesome drop and you still have good ride quality!!

 

leave it stock...unless you want to also get new shocks, allignment, camber adjustment...

do you have to remove the bump stops in the front when you install the tein s-tech's? I left mine in and i'm getting a real bouncy ride and it seems like the car is sitting on them... i tried searching and got nadda... Thanks in advance

 

you need to cut them...otherwise your car will bounce.

if i had an rs , i would not do it

 

i would just buy some coil-overs.i had springs on,and i didn't like them.after i went from the s.techs to stock,i kinda like the way stock feels better
