I have heard a few of you talking about the addition of a ralliart lancer, the only specifics I have heard are that it comes with an up rated ECU to put out three hundred horsepower. That was stated by fireball in another post. I was wondering what any of you knew about it, and if it is scheduled for this year?

The Ralliart Lancer is a sub-$20k hot-rod Lancer scheduled for introduction this fall. 300hp is probably about 45% too high, especially since the Evo is officially rated at 271hp.

The ralli are lancer better not be the 140hp 2.4L outlander engine.

I'm hoping for the srt-4 turbocharged monster or the GDI engine.

 

It probably is the Outlander engine, but more geared for HP, rather than Torque, which the Outlander engine is. If you put the kind of torque that is in the Outlander in the Lancer, you'd spin the tires EACH time you took off.

With the 2.4L engine in the Lancer, that would be quite the fun car... nothing like an Evo though...

Your probably right. I was hoping for a sister car between the neon and ralliart lancer. Maybe in 04 when they share the same platform DSM will live again under the ralliart lancer to compete against the WRX?

For cars under 20K i feel most of us american would rather have 0-60 in trade off of handling. Too bad the neon has a bad name but the lancer doesn't and after Fast and Furious 2 I predect lancer sales will go up. I just dont' want to see lancers with evo spoiler making me sterotyped like one of them.

I feel the Ralliart name will be ruined if they produce an N/A outlander engine in the lancer. The ralliart should live up to its name with at least a SRT4 engine? Maybe make it optional? Just giving ideas

Remember in 99 the 10 year aniversary Eclipse was a non-turbo Neon motor powered with the "looks" of the turbo model Eclipse.

Also, lots of people on their own put "turbo" spoilers on their NA Eclipses, so don't be surprised when you see a ton of "posers!"

 

Sorry, I called it a Ralliart Lancer because thats what it was refered to as in other post, but I am really interested in a Ralliart Evolution. I was just wondering because someone in a previous post had said the Pirre mentioned it sometime ago. I was curious to see if it was all hype or a little bit of fact.
