Yorktown Mitsu in Westchester, NY went out of business. I made an appointment for my 5 month (free) oil change two weeks ago for this morning. Took the morning off from work, got there at 7:30 am - completely closed - bastards didn't even call me to cancel my appointment.

 

How nice of them . Nowdays good old customer service is almost dead along with a multiude of other everyday familiar old fashioned values. If it keeps up the current pace the there will be no pulling back. I'm not kidding

They did not go out of business. They are taking on a third partner, and so they have to have a 0 inventory. They will be a new dealership soon, Taconic Mitsu, or something like that.

...this is what i was told about a month ago, maybe less time. i worked there one summer.

 

I dont believe that is true - their service staff is now at White Plains. All of the furniture was gone and they were referring people to White Plains and Curry Ford/Subby

 

Yea, you are correct. i live in Boston so i haddnt seen the dealership in a few weeks, but im home this weekend. There are subie's and fords on the lot now. looks like Curry bought it.

They told me 3weeks ago that another owner was coming onboard and that they werent going under. it sucks that they did, i new a number of them. good people. just a bad market for Mitsu here in Westchester (minus Evo and eclipse).

 

Ah hell...there goes my warranty. Oh well....

Goodbye to Yorktown Mitsu!!! I bought a Montero Sport from them back in 2000, what sh1tty service. I remember them as being real pushy, I hated going up there.

 

Nah, i just started the lease on my '05 WRX in december. possible Evo X in my future, not sure tho. I would of loved one, but you cant lease them in NY and the insurance would of killed me. No idea how ur paying for it lol. tho as a junior uve been thru two co-ops. so if u saved i could see some of it.
