CAR Vandalized!

Car F*cking vandalized. Just finished police report.
Got home from work. Parked the car on the streets because I was gonna drive my other car to friend's real quick, came back after 2 hours, and I find my car vandalized to hell. got pictures, but my host is down, so i can't upload.

So far, damages i can see from dark. And from help of sheriff's flash light.
--Trunk Mitsubishi Emblem is gone
--There's a HUGE LONG screw driver mark on the roof and trunk and sides of the car.
--All key holes, including trunk has be demolished by the flat screw driver
--My CF Hood has scratches everywhere + mesh on the hood has been ripped upwards
--The gas tank has been pryed open with the screw driver
--There's pink substance in the gas tank, sheriff told me that it's either sugar or detergent
--They ripped the trunk open and got into my trunk, they tried to pop the rear seats and get access into the cabin, they some how managed not to break any of my windows, but put SCRATCHES on them.

I am going to make appointment for a print analyst comes over and dust the car for prints

The car's been pushed into the garage now.

I'll post pics if someone can host them for me! i'll take more pics.

P.S.
What does it take to take the gas tank off? Can anyone give me instructions on removing the gas tank?

that really sucks. it sounds like it's someone you know that hates you. and if you were only gone two hours, it was planned, i'm guessing.

Oh man that is horrible- and only liabilty coverage on an '05 MR!!!? WHY? Coming from a cop, your best bet is to leave the car parked, don't let anyone touch it, get in it, etc if the police are actually going to come out and take prints- problem with that is that the person has to have a prior incident in order to match prints, I'm rooting for you man!

I have my suspision at 2nd neighborhood down. It was first time I talk to the guy, and he was telling me that he had a Blue By You '04, but traded in for a gray MR, but totalled it at mamoth about 3 month of getting it. They were having party there tonight too, drinking beer and stuff. The guy seemed like a nice guy though. I don't really want to point fingers without evidence, but it could be someone from the party.

I've just recently moved to this neighbor, Diamond Bar, California, it's been about a week now since i moved. I thought it was nice neighborhood, and it was pretty cool to actually talk to one of my neighbors today, but I wish none of that happend. I really don't know what made this person/s to do this to my car, I"m not home during weekdays, until around 9pm or so, then i just sleep and wake up and goto work and the same rutine. It's time I start f*ckin carryin around my gun.

it could be possible they try to steal my car, it could be that they wanted least damage at first and try to go in through the trunk, and get inside, but gave up and started to just beat on it.

Man, that really sucks! I'm sorry to see that happened to your car.

FWIW, liability insurance will not cover your car, it only covers other people's property.
