I really like this forum. Its a good all around FORUM. There are some very tech minded folks available for advice and a lot of cool and fun folks to chat with. I'm glad its not just a straight tech forum, otherwise I wouldn't spend so much time here. It's almost an Evo owners lifestyle place.

With 30,000+ members, you're bound to have a tremendous variety... that's a good thing. Not everybody is only interested in technical info and "informative" threads... People like to be funny, off-topic, sarcastic, conversational, etc... It keeps things interesting for the 29,999 "below par" users like me.

i'm also on honduh-tech. since many honduhz are old by now, there are lots of ppl there with experience to help you troubleshoot problems and give advice on upgrades. of course, there are the usual trolls too.

i'm getting sooo tired of useless polls here though. "if you had the chance to buy evo9 or wait for evo10, what would you do?", in the words of Triumph the insult comic dog: "de correct answer iz - who geeves a sheet!"
i mean, what is that poller really trying to discover? whether he should get evo9 when it comes out, or just wait? but evo9 is not close to being released, and besides, who cares what OTHER ppl wanna do, buy what YOU wanna buy! kinda reminds me of that South Park episode with Mr. Garrison's father: "so, if you had to have sex with your son to save his life, would you do it?"

i also get annoyed by "do these rims/stickers/vinyl/bird poop/dings look good on my <carmodel>?" polls. it's your car, if you like how something on it looks, keep it. there was a thread by someone with a lancer with nasty rims and Z3 fenders, and he posted to see what ppl thought. EVERYONE hated it, yet he still thought it was cool and wouldn't change it, so then why bother asking??

anyway, we need more good threads on suspension setups and driving techniques that are NOT related to drag racing. evo may be a great drag racer, but it wasn't meant to be that and i would like to know more about controlling it in TURNS.
and thanks to all the ppl who make informative as well as funny posts!

But that's not the forum's fault, I'd say the users are a bit below par.
I rarely visit lately because all people talk about is big rImZ. People consider good information = "it handles good dawg".

At least I don't have to put up with huge photoshop pictures in everyone's signatures. Visit a Nissan or BMW forum to see what I'm talking about.

Back on topic though, I agree this forum has a few people who we really don't need bringing the rest of us down, but at least it's not as bad as the SRT ones, or clubrsx as aforementioned.

I would say its more dsm talk than NABR. Also too many vendors out to self-promote and bash each other.
