I think its a great idea and you should do it.

 

Funny thing is you shouldn't have said anything. You should have bought that badge. Change the lettering. Slap it on your car. Then post a pic of your car while nonchalantly showing off your RS badge. Everyone would have been drooling all over that badge, and not cared where you got that lettering from.

BTW, I think it would look nice.

It can! My friend has his own vinyl business and he uses a process where epoxy is put on top of the vinyl to raise the lettering. It's a fairly extensive process and isn't cheap, but it is possible.

 

its rice. it doesnt matter if you had one custom made. The reason the MR badges are dope is because the evo comes with one. When you go hacking up a honda emblem to make a badge that doesnt exist, that crosses the ghey line. But it's your car do what you want, I doubt anybody really cares.

 

i think you should do what you want. i also think it would look good. dont listen to any of the negative comments on here. IMO, it has nothing to do with being rice. your simply making your own badge not just slapping a GT-R badge on it like alot of the riced out cars on the road. post pics after you do it.

 

I think it would look good if it did'nt look chopped up and since you say you're good at that - I'd say go for it. In the end you should be trying to please yourself and not anyone else!

Btw I have seen the opposite, A honda SiR badged car with aftermarket evo front, back, wing, lol

 

I appreciate all you comments. I will post pics if I decide to put it on after I get the badge and modify it. I need an opinion about where to put it. I was thinking of just putting the black evo VIII badge on where the normal one centers up in the back and then putting the RS down in the right corner. The reason being if I ever decide I dont like it I dont have to take the whole evo VIII badging off.What does everyone think?
