Your brother is paying too much. Maybe you live in a bad area. He should be able to get his payments down to 1000 per 6 months if he gets all the possible discounts. Sometimes you can get discounts for good grades, good driving school, etc. Your problem, on the other hand, is unsolvable. The good thing is you make enough a week to pay car payments and insurance.

Also, I recommend not driving your Evo to school, no matter what. Get another car to drive to school, football practice, work, or whatever the hell you do. Jealousy is a dangerous thing, if you have to drive it to school, don't ever talk to people, wait till everyone has left the parking lot to get in your car, anything to make sure your face/name isn't associated with the car.

I see you are a top young executive at a custom frame shop climbing the corporate ladder. Consider an M.B.A. from Bryman College, that you would give your boss a good incentive to give you a raise and a year end bonus...perhaps even your own corner office with a view of the secretary down the hall. I envy you.

ok guys theres no way you can be paying 200 a month for insurence if your 16 or 17.. if you are please let me know, i think its time to switch companies. Lets see, 16 or 17 year old driver, depending on the state you live in, you are a first time driver who has had his or her license for less than a year.. getting a car with just that fact alone will cost you about 2000 to 3000 increase in your parents insurence. With a brand new car, turbocharged.. you are definatly looking at 4000 or so, just by yourself, if there is another car in the family ... 4000-5000 a year. The insurence company isnt dumb guys, they know what a evo is. Geico is starting to drop certian peoples insurence now because lancer evolution has been deemed a high risk car. I am 17 turning 18. I've had my evo for a year now. My insurence was at 5000 a year, thats with my parents car. I didnt get any tickets or even pulled over once, so my insurence dropped down by $1000. its down to 4000 + or - change now. Guys its nothing cheap. 200 a month is wayyy to little for a 16 or 17 year old evo owner

Darn it. How do you know how I spent my high school years hiding behind the lockers of the P.E. room until everyone is gone. Man...but you are right....Jealousy is a Biatch. I didn't even risk talking to anyone since I didn't want anyone know that I was driving the hottest car around that time: a 89 Fuel Injected Corolla LE (limited edition) with 13 inch rims w/ matching TRD wheel covers and a state of the art Brembo drum brakes and cutting edge 3 speed Automatic Transmission with OverDrive from Getrag. Wew...those years were tough......I am glad I have passed.

i used to pay 307 a month, but it has dropped significantly since then. Being a responsible driver on the streets pays off.

Sorry for messing around. Here goes to your questions...

I don't pay anything until I get caught. Hey, look at it this way...if you get caught you pay a fine of say $200 and you go to jail like for a night or two. That's free vacation with free meals and TV plus 24hr protection. Plus you make lots of friends who are experts in car security. They will tell you everything you need to know on how to keep your car from being stolen by them on the street. A good break from the daily grind of 9-5. That's still better than $200 a month for nothing<--meaning with no accident. Why do you need to pay the insurance company when you don't have an accident??? Doesn't make any sense....And even if you do have an accident...all it takes is $500 (most people's deductible) to keep someone quiet....and if they don't comply you can almost always outrun them with an EVO.......and in the end say if you have no accident whatsoever and get caught only say twice a year. You are still paying much less than you are now for nothing. See where the logic goes....I can't believe I am smarter than most people on this board combined. I am going to give myself a pad on the back and drink some and hopefully I will catch you good fellows on the road soon.....

WOW...best of luck with that no insurance policy...hope you don't get in a wreck with me as I probably won't grin and bear the 500 bones. One reason insurance rates are high is due to uninsured drivers...so I'd probably not be so nice if I got in an accident with somebody that wasn't insured...
