Clearly, this guy who posted the original thread is worrying about getting into an ivy league... ...and financing his college tuitions.....room and board....books....living expenses.....the occasional bail bond after a fraternity party......ah...the good o'l days....

He is just worrying how he can commute to college the fastest way possible.

Nice comment....

Do you have your own policy? Where do u live? What company are you with?

Insurance is based on tons of factors, thats cool you have a good price but I don't think that everyone is getting screwed!

I agree.. how can a 17 year old afford an evo and insurance? Chances are they aren't.. their parents pick up the bill. Unless of course (like i mentioned above) they are working the best years of their life to pay for a car.

I dunno.. I guess we all learn different ways.. When I was 17 I lucked into getting a 89 Mustang 5.0 LX with 32k miles (Mint) and I got in a lot of trouble and pretty much killed a nice car.
I think I can answer some of these things...

-Vin #'s give away what the car is. NO insurance company is going to confuse an Evo and a Lancer.
-A 17 year old either HAS A TON of money (and if they do- good for them) Otherwise they are HIDING ON THEIR PARENTS INSURANCE - there are no 2 ways about it. They aren't rated as the driver of the Evo, and most likely they aren't rated on the policy at all.

Good stuff till u get caught...

NYREDEVO,

Just noticed this underneath your last post.....

"Is INSURANCE on your EvO Co$TiNG YoU ToO MucH?? (That or anything else) If you live in NYor CT PM me!!! I'll save you some some $$$!!!

FREE quotes!!!

Wouldn't you rather put the money into your car anyway?"

You wouldn't happen to be soliciting for business, now would you ?

To everyone who has thier name under a different car other than the Evo but actually drive the Evo as thier car.
I was talking to some insurance people I know and they were saying the Insurance companies do calculations on how likely it would be for you to get a ticket/crash in a car thats not your primary, even if you get one crash or like 2 tickets in the EVO, it's a 75% chance that the Insurance company will research your house and find out that the EVO is actually your primary car, and your whole policy will be denied and you will have to pay all sorts of ****.
So like the guy who said he is on the tarus as his car but drives the Evo like if it was his. You could easily get ****ed and have your insurance be like 10,000 a year from any company. It will be listed on your name that you have lied about yoru car and no company will even want to accept you.

oh well hope your mommy and daddy is willing to help... i genuinely give u a "good luck"
That post is so funny! Are you sure you're 24? I think I wrote better than that when I was four years old. let me fix that for you. "Oh well, I sincerely hope that your mother and father are willing to help with your payments, good luck to you." See how that looks? Now it doesn't seem like you needed a Quicktionary/Reading Pen to write that.

I hate to be the "forum policeman," but please, make it seem like you passed the 4th grade.

I'm 17 and I pay 400/mo. for insurance. 600/mo. for car payment.

... yeah. However, I have gotten into 1 accident. So I'd expect for you to pay anywhere from around 300-400 depending on insurance company, primary/secondary driver, and location.

What do you do to afford $1000/month in payments like this? Most people don't even have a mortgage that high in their 40s, and you pay that for a car at 17?

Just doesn't make sense...

Making 1,000 a month is damn easy, when I was working for $7 an hour for just 28 hours I was making 800. As long as you more atleast 5-6 hours at $10 an hour its easy. The problem is that he doesnt have to pay for many other expensenes like 40 yearolds do
Thats why.
