So why not get a bypass valve instead of a BOV. BOV are bling bling anyway. I got the Turbo XS Bypass valve and it still makes the bling bling noise but puts the pressure back into the intake.

 

Cali cops are very savvy when it comes to modded rides. It all started when Civic Nation began blowing up and coppers didn't know a thing about imports (sux cuz they just let domestics do whatever the eff they want...i hate that racist double standard). Now they actually have classes and seminars so cops can recognize aftermarket mods from stock engines. One story: got pulled over after a speech gig for being low but the cop figured i was a nice guy ( dressed i nshirt and tie). He said I wouldnt get a ticket but asked if i could pop the hood so his rookie (girl) partner could learn what a stock engine looks like (thank God I WAS stock for that day). I listen to him school her about SOHC, DOHC, valve covers, intakes, headers, carb #s etc...and she's writing it all down. Freakin' rookie cop kept scraping the side of my ride with her night stick every time she walked by the car. All in all, I made a friend in the cop biz..ended up giving him my business card.

 

Cali cops are really cracking down i see.

 

glad i live in florida and there are no laws for modding your car nore are there any emissions testing. sorry about getting messed with by the fuzz though.

no front mount license plate
no registration
no proof of insurance
speeding
reckless driving
crossing a double yellow

what was i doing? doing 35 in a THIRTY zone up angeles crest with a 2 other friends. the wrx i was with was impounded. we werent racing we were on our way to meetup with a friend for pictures. 3 cops COMPLETE D*CKS on motorbikes. asked me to pop my hood, they looked under the car, AND IN THE TRUNK FOR A NITROUS BOTTLE. if i was racing/driving like a dumbass i would have kept quiet but it was ridiculous because we werent doing any harm or wrong to anyone. ive met some realllly great cops in cali but theres a couple who really have nothing better to do.

over spring break my friend (19) got ARRESTED and put in jail for a whole day and night for having fireworks in his car. we werent lighting them they were little flashers from the 4th of july. not only did he get arrested, but they did it with 5 squad cars. yeah 5 for a teenager in a budget model ford explorer.

well, that was the first thing i did...turn off my car. But the very first thing he said to me (other than do you know why i pulled you over?), was "what was that turbo hydrolic noice i heard when you passed me?"... " all i could say to that was " please brother, thats my car in a nutshell"
