Angry got rolled!

so yeah about 130 in the morning on Saturday night i got pulled over because of no front plate. When he comes to my window he asks me what "the highdrolic turbo noise" was.
I tell him that was just the noise my car makes blah blah blah, and he asks to se under my hood. Right away he points out my BOV and MBC... he asks me if thats all i have ( i say yes but i also have downpipe and testpipe). He rights me a ticket for illegal mods and now i have to go to the referee in 30 days, and i cant drive my car untill then. So off to work on puting my car back to stock i go...then once i get it back, its all going right back on. When he sees be again he IS going to pull me over, but i think i can just show him the paper i get from the referee and say i brought it to them the way it was so we wont have to go through all of this again. Anyone see any problems im going to have with that?

Illegal mods, are you serious? Can you not mod your car in CA? I have heard about some states having a "lowering the car" law, but a BOV?

I don't think he told them about the exhaust changes.

BOV is before the cat and has to be CARB approved .Dosnt matter if its VTA or RECIRC.. so yes all BOV's that have not gone through the CARB approval process (which costs manufacturers on upwards of $50,000.00 to do), is not street legal.

As far as other modifications - anything after the cat (catback exhaust/axel back) is okay as long as stays alogn the lines of staying under 95 decibles ..

hope that helps and good luck to you!

Pretty impressed that he knew how to find the MBC and BOV... he let you off easy. If he was savvy enough to find those mods, he'd easily guess about the testpipe...

You have to lower your car to make it hard for the cops to look under it.
