brand new STI for 28K OTD makes me feel bad
on a related note, I saw two STI' on the local road and one was being driven by an older guy w/ wife (maybe 50ish) and the other by a young lady with her family.
And they all seem to be totally stock!
Hmmm, definitely difference breed of drivers than Evos.
BTW, STI with older guy was trying to show himself by cutting in front of me. Well, I had set him straight...

I shopped around big time in my area but it just so happened I was on business in Boston and bought my 04 GSR w/ SSL & sport meter kit was 30,148 OTD (after taxes, tag, ect) from an older salesman.

28k because the subby dealerships want to get rid of their 2005 models, to have space for 2006 models.

Got my RS for ~$27K including TTL, not including down payment. Not sure if it's a spectacular deal or not but I thought $300 over invoice was a fair price at the time. Especially since the RS's seemed pretty rare at the time.
For you sub-invoice guys how do you do it? I managed to get my price by starting a price war between 4 or 5 dealerships. Lowest bidder got my sale. It actually worked pretty well too. Since I was doing most of it through email with sales managers I just kept forwarding messages back and forth until I hit a number I thought was good. From there I pretty much showed up, signed a few papers and was driving away in less than 20 minutes.

Alot of BS or misunderstanding going on here. First of all an STI 05' brand new for 28 OTD (dealer would have gotten more on EBAY), second of all its a friend of friend. Good info. Total BS. Next lets all laugh for second at some of the wonderful comments here. I am just waiting to read someone write they paid $24 for an evo and turned around and sold it for $29. It seems that when people talk about what they paid for a car it is always lower then the actually number. The sad part is the lack of value from those here who own the cars. If an evo mr isn't worth 38 to you what is? assuming you can afford 38, and please don't say an RS for 31. I can appreciate that car for those who are going to turn it into a non daily driver race car. For the rest of us saving thousands to have a car without some comforts is not realistic. Oh my check this ebay item 4546302649 out that would be 26,817 plus dmv fees for a stock used 03 on EBAY (if the buyer was local). WTF that must be wrong.
