I'm a new EVO owner!!!

I got a Apex Silver '05 GSR for $29,800 OTD on Friday. I've been driving it all weekend. The only modification, they approve of, is a cold air intake. I'll wait a while to modify it anyways. How much do most people charge for that clear-bra stuff and is it worth it? What other non-performance mods should I do it first?

cold air intake? how the hell does that work? Short-ram intake... yes... but don't do it. Get some new rims, tint the windows, and get some gauges.

congrats! you'll find a lot of info here on the pros and cons (mostly cons) of getting an intake. like UT Evo said, gauges and tinting are always a good idea. Go with exhaust for your first mod. I say just get a drop in filter for the factory airbox. have fun!!!

as i always say with any fast car purchase, first mod should be a high-quality radar detector.

my bro has one of the clear bras and just gotta find a place. wasnt there when he got it but he was telling me how its specific for your car and it covers all of the front to the middle of the fenders including the headlights. disappointingly it cost him 800 which is a little much for me. it helps alot and has a lifetime warrenty.. just got my alarm done yesterday the 791 or something from viper has a built in turbo timer with the autostart, only problem is would be finding a shady place to install it because its illegal on cars with stick

I've got the Passport 8500. Best investment I've made. It's supposed to be the best on the market.

V1 - Can't be beat. Especially if you have to go anywhere where they run dectector detectors (like VA) 250ft because of the case and you get target tracker plus rear coverage.
