I like the way it looks, nice and mean. I will not buy a car that performs well but looks freaking ugly to me, to me its not worth it. Cant imagine driving a ugly car with excellent performance. It has to balance out.

 

Yeah but the word here is "aftermarket"! What you refer to as aftermarket on the Honda is actually stock on the Evo!

 

I wouldnt have baught the Evo if I didnt like the way it looks no matter how fast it is. Don't get me wrong the engine was part of the reason of purchase but I truly love the looks of the Evo. Its in my top ten for best looking cars to be honest with you.

 

Lancer = evolution evolution = lancer. read the history. who told you this is a beautiful car? if you were racing against it.... you will see only its ugly *** and smoke you with its fart. Mits. only makes chassis on economy class car like ralliart. Oz, Evo as for diamante and galant as the same. in automotive industry, they frequently use same chassis..........Chevy( Siverado, Suburban etc...nissan=altima, sentra). jut look around you....

Overall I think its a beautifull car and I'm 27. But I also think its photogenicity is angle dependent....meaning there are some bad angled shots of some EVO's if you browse through this forum and but there are other shots that look great.

I think the shot of the blue 2006 EVO in Motor Trend on the embankment at the test track was simply beautifull. One of the most beautifull car pics I have ever seen.

 

Show me something better looking in the current market, 30,000, turbo, awd, with lines like this in a four door, don't say sti, that thing looks like a bug with a big nose. The evo is looking pretty good. Former Starion owner.

 

why would you get a car that you thought looked ugly in the first place? Well all in all, the Evo viii is a great looking car. If it wasn't, I wouldn't be getting people looking at me constantly all the time when I drive it. I know I don't get any looks in my other "ugly" car. (no comment)

 

i actually can not decide if it is an ugly car or not i dont really like the looks of it however the fact that it is a homologated rally racer is what makes it appeal to me i mean such raw perfomance and it had to be based on a production car so they did a good job of making a lancer a purpose built car

 

When I look at performance cars, they have to stand out. The evo does stand out.
99% of the cars out there are so bland. To be honest, the evo doesn't even look that aggressive to me anymore because all the newer car designs are making this type of styling the norm.

 

no matter what some of you people think i think the evo by far one of the most appealing cars in the under 50k range..the evo sti eclipse and celica are all sexy if you ask me

 

Couldnt be happier with my choice. We all bought the car for its performance, its raw and aggressive looks are just a bonus.

 

All I know is, that a Pininfarina designer would absolutely barf if he/she saw the Evo sketched in their studio. I think that answers the question right there.

Form follows function with the evo and something that is fucntional is not necissarily beautiful. Also, the looks of the evo are based of the lancer...which IMO IS one of the ugliest cars ever made....right up there with the aztek.

 

come now, the lancer looks like a cream puff wussy car, i know you said the car is based on it but i mean the evo, by all means looks damn intimidating. but to say it looks as bad as the aztec is just plain cruel.

 

The two best looking Evo for me are the Evo VI TME and EVO VIII/IX
But like all Evo except the Evo X concept... it loose the Evo style spirit.
