I try to clean out my car once a week of trash and other crap and go to grab a water bottle from under my seat and my seat transforms. Iv had my car over a year and this is the first time I ever noticed this. Not sure what it does or what its for but its there.

That adjuster pad is there for taller drivers, extra leg support is great, less fatigue. Very nice feature to have if you have praying mantis legs. Although I never saw that on an evo before.

 

That's not a US evo. Probably something that came on none US spec older EVOs. I see you have a 99.

 

most if not all bmw's come with this function, it does actually help reduce leg fatigue on long drives for me

Those look like the Evo 6 seats. I think they are.

It's the "drug stash spot" dealer option, lol.

 

evo 6 TME has the same feature but it also has a hole underneath for a 5 point harness... NrCooled may be able to chime in since he has my buddy's evo now...
