Warranty Problems (keep to yourself)

I have never loved a car like i do the Evo! I come to this forum to learn more and more about my car, but i am sick of hearing WARRANTY problems with Mitz. I feel great all day thinking about my Evo until i read all these problems and COMPLAINS from ALL EVO OWNERS about WARRANTY. Yes, we all know that Mitz is denying all kinds of ****t, so GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON!

Is it just me?

As it has been pointed out before, only the small number of owners who have problems post their complaints. I think the silent majority have good relations with mitsu.

Thumbs up

Unless the part fails no chance off it getting fixed free.
if it fails and not attributed to any modification there should be no freaking problem..
I think most complainers out there don't fit none of the criteria!

I believe that the majority of people who complain on this forum have legitimate gripes. If Mitsu upheld the spirit of the warranty nobody would have anything to complain about.

well everyone knows that is u mod, 9 out of 10 times ur warranty will get voided, it sucks but hey its a decision u got to make as a owner in modding a car.. some dealers are cool and let u mod and some are dicks and even putting a stero in voids the warranty...

If the failure is not linked to the mod there should be no issue. SEMA is a great source for information reguarding this issue. The best thing to do is keep your cool and try to talk to the service manager. Also try other dealers you do not have to use the one you got the car from. You can always shop around.

Had a powersteering pump replaced no questions asked. The techs there were joking about another evo that had fried his clutch in 2000 miles.. they said they replaced it but told the customer next time he will be picking up the bill.

Not all situations are bad.. but you're going to hear more about bad experiences than good regardless of which is dominant.

Woa...lets get things straight

First of all here are so many VALID reasons that people are griping at Mitsu warranty issues. Im not sure if you are aware but Mitsu lost it's president and top executives in Japan because the were INTENTIONALY denying warrantable claims. If fact, they were arrested. Since that point Mitsu has cleaned up their act, because their sales were going to s#t. Thats the only reason.

When you buy a car that cost 30K plus from a company who F$@in brochure for that car says"Go forth and Modify" you SHOULD no have to deal with such dumb $h$@#
