272s or 280s

just what the title says. 272's or 280's with AEM. I dont' know how to start a poll.....so if anyone wants to help me out....i'd appreciate it.

And Idle is a factor. With 272s on my last car with AEM...it idle'd like stock....i dont' mind if it's a little lumpy but i dont' want it to sound like crap.

anyone with 280's with AEM feel free to comment

thanks

as surprising as it may seem, ive seen the 280's give a nice top end boost in hp even with the stock turbo.i have 264/272 setup and i love it, great tq/hp combo. if you're getting a big turbo go with 280's, if not i'd stick with 272's. Do a search, there are dyno graphs of both setups available.

Thumbs up

it's either gonna be idle or power that's sacrificed when running the big cams. i say try a combo no one has done yet. run a 272intake/280exhaust. with the AEM, you can fix most of the idle. with a good tuner, ALL of it.

272's should be fine for 500hp. 280's are pretty aggressive.

no matter how you look at it, more duration means a rougher idle..
