SACF vs Flash
yeah you can use an apexi TT w/ af that connects to the o2 sensor V to get those raedings.. mine was staying consitant .9's at WOT all day long.. with the SAFC .. so i assume it will with the V meter

Yep , with the SAFC is called the blue wire mod.. It reads voltage from the o2 . 0.000 lean 1.000 rich in#2 ..Sweet spot would be 0.91 0.92 ... 0.96-0.98 is kindda rich.

Yep they want u to go back to them every 2 weeks and pay lots of $$$ for a retune . That way ur car will be running on the sweet spot for a day or two, u change boost, gotta go back to them, add an intake, same story, Nothin better like tuning ur car urself and be on it all day u get addicted. UTEC AEM SAFC XEDE E-manage whatever your using i suggest u do lots of research and learn how to use it properly get into the software and start doing ur own tuning having to depend on someone to tune ur car is a PITA and sometimes u have to wait days or weeks til that happens.

MBC, AFC, and a logger is the the only way I'll go.
i think ill try the flash with a dynotune session and a reflash... you can get a few hours dyno time with another custome flash at Pruven for 399$ hopefully ill have my wideband by then or else ill have to rent their's
unless you get certain parts and the settings to go with those parts ... for example if you purchase Buschur stg kits they will give you the settings for the SAFC as long as you just use those parts... KWIM
i'm still wondering about how you could adjust the timing on the safc.
I know you could datalog and go from those datalogged numbers, but I guess that's where the wideband comes in....
So with datalogger being $130 (+ shipping) and wideband being $350 (or so), you're basically buying a customed tuned flash.
so, it sorta equals out. If you get all your crap installed and get it tuned then it'll be cheaper for you to get the flash, but if you're planning on doing it for a while, then it'll be better for you to get you a wideband, data logger and safc.

With the blue wire mod u can read o2's from the SAFC, u can tune with that . Of course having a logger will help a lot but on o2's alone u can do a bit of tuning.

how is this true? Really you should be saying for some people its useless if they cannot get it dyno tuned by a proffessional. A dyno tuned safc will beat a mail in flahs any day.. and there is no need for a wideband when its being done this way, although it would certaintly be nice to have in both instances. Flash is definately pro if you live in the middle of no where. safc is way more convenient and cheaper if you live near a good shop, plus it can be fine tuned and redone when adding modes without ripping the car apart.
We can get dyno tuning in this area for $100 an hour on a mustang dyno..which makes the safc way more practical.
