Some other minor tidbits about recon...

if you do have any "non-essential" stickers on any of your windows (EX: racing types, sponsers, company brands, crews or teams), remove them.

Finally, if you've got (for some reason) taillights that isn't stock or have SAE/DOT stamped on it... that might be a problem.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

I recently got my RECON and they no longer require affidavits for exhaust and wheels. It was pretty easy for me but I'm not dropped.

Cops gave me two tickets couple of months ago,

One for the combo Rims + Car dropped
and one for the Exhaust ( it might kill someone for some reason )

Recon @ Reconstruction is a stupid law in Hawaii, everytimes you mod your car, you will have to pass a safety inspection to see if it's safe or not to drive your car on public road... something like that.

My coilovers make my car pretty low. Also I read on the hawaii forum somewhere that coilovers won't pass anyway because they are adjustable. Any suggestions on that? I think the main thing I have to worry about will just be suspension. I am in the process of trading my coilovers for stock MR suspension. Any thoughts?

humm never had a problem with recon with my talon. i see lots of cars with no recon out here and your gonna be out in the boonies over in scofeild. dont think it will be a problem to be honest. there so many cops here there all to busy circle jerking in parking lots to seem to care, unless your screwing around on thr road.

You could put your stock suspension on get recon for everything else then put it back on. but you will get hit probably during safety inspections if they check.
