Evo IX at Fuji Speedway - pics
Don't get too excited about the R34 GT-R, as there is a reason behind it's demise. The reason is the Evo and the STi - either car is as quick or quicker than the GT-R in stock tune, and when you throw in the price difference, you can make the Evo or the STi faster and still have 20k left to go before you've hit the price of a stock GT-R. GT-R's are great cars when tuned out, but after you've shelled out up to 70k for a standard GT-R, then find out you've got to shell out another 10k to finally get your money's worth out of it... Well, it's understandable that 30k Evo's and STi's cleaned it's clock, sales-wise.
