update on premium mitsubishis....spoke to the sales guy this afternoon. He still has no updates on estimated arrival time, etc. BUT I did ask "you're still selling this car at MSRP, right?" and he said "As far as I understand, yes" which hopefully does not mean "That's what I tell you, then once the car gets here I'll tell you otherwise"

As of right now the over sticker is zero. What is puzzling is that all of the references I have heard to 5k to 8K over MSRP are coming from salespeople who have a HUGE incentive to it make so. I have not heard from one single BUYER who is willing to pay 5 to 8K over. Ain't capitalism great.
Plus most banks will only finance 80 to 90% of MSRP; so it will require an additional 5 to 8K out of pocket. Now we are talking $600 for 60 months for car payments plus insurance after you put at least $14k down in cash or trade and you don't get cruise control....

I think your math is a litttle fuzzy.
Even if ya only get 8K for a trade in and put nothing else down, you'll only end up financing around 22K, with a low interest rate you'll end up paying around $400 a month. Now if ya actually put down 14K with cash and trade, your only financing 16K, and paying $300 a month. Granted this is assuming sticker at 30K. Anyway, what dealer have you been talking to in Reading? I grew up around their, but now I live in Philly. Just curious

Hi ShadyShane,
My numbers where assuming a buyer is willing to pay 8K over invoice so my basis is 38K. That is a number I read in a previous thread.

Hi ShadyShane,
My numbers where assuming a buyer is willing to pay 8K over (a number I read in a previous thread) invoice so my basis is 38K. You are correct, it would be for 48 months.
The dealership is Tom Masano in N. Reading. Good reputation.
