Mitsubishi is growing?
I am going to put up a website saying how great my company is doing. As long as that is what everyone reads I'll do great. If they read other news sources I am fooked though.
Mitsu is in trouble and has been. Daimler wants out of the relationship and Mitsu MMNA is still bleeding money after being saved by Mitsu Corp.
That description is probably from 2002.
Anyone who wants to argue the point must no be able to read.

If they're doing so well... why the hell did my warranty get denied? If it wasn't cuz they didn't want to foot the 8000 dollar bill... then why?!?!?
They're not doing well, that's a load of horse ****, and anyone with an Evo should know that, I think the Evo is THE worst backed car in the world, there's far more people getting warranty denials than are posting on here (don't know why, jerks)

Whatever. The news ain't all bad. It depends on wether you count fleet sales or not.

Yeah that's good news. Sales are up 2% but we don't know if we are making a profit.
It really doesn't matter if they sold 20% more cars this year, they have massive debt and will not overcome it for a long time, if they can. Sales doesn't always translate into a good outlook.

sales or not, quality is what will bring back mitsu. all major brands having recalls, looking at my honda pilot, the endeavor and montero is a better SUV but they have so much loyalty because of previous perceived quality and durability which these two mitsu suv's have.

Whatever, man. All I said was the news isn't all bad. You sound as if you want things to go badly for them. Retail sales are always better then fleet sales. And there will be a profit because the cars are rolling off dealer lots and not wholesaled below invoice to rental fleets. As long as they keep showing a marginal improvement each month, it makes the books look good, keeps the investors happy and will encourage future growth and development. They can deal with debt just like every other massive corporation, like it is an asset and right it off - whatever, however, as long as the inventories get turned over and the factories build more cars, they just need operatiing cash. It looks a whole lot better then losing a billion dollars in one quarter and/or having your bond rating reduced to junk status like GM and Ford.

Great find GP...just read it and I like it and since GM announced 6Billion + losses instead of 2mil profit everybody is fighting but Mitsu will be the phoenix from the ashes so to speak. That freakin' Colt Evo concept tiny thing they got is also sooo bad *behind* (censored).

In 2004 Scion outsold Mitsubishi in the US. Some of the stuff their saying "our sales have grown 81% percent over the past four years" is pulled from their parent company. While some of the things they say are related soley to their North American sales, "We sold 345,111 new vehicles in the United States in 2002".
Sorta deceptive if you ask me.

Will they go under (MMNA), I doubt it. I don't care either way actually. If they went under, they deserved it. If they stay a float, good for them. I would never buy a car from them aside from an Evo but I already have one so I care even less. I haven't been back to the dealer since I brought the car 2 years ago. Waste of my time to have some hack work on my car, like the one time I was in there when I first brought the car.
Why? I say get the Evo while you can. IMO though, I would not expect much of a warranty if you plan on modding. Otherwise you would be fine.
We waited how long to get this car here in the US but don't expect it to last forever.
And GM owns a good portion of Subaru so their financial difficulties doesn't help Subaru much either. I'll be the first to say that GM screwed themselves. They kept going after the SUV market and now that gas is up they don't have the necessary vehicles to keep the sales numbers up. They need to get off their asses and bring the Opel back over here.
Things will get worse before they get better for all of the manufacturers. Gas prices are not going back down, ever. That has already been stated by everyone. I can assure you I am loving the bubble bursting on SUVs. Nothing worse then a bunch SUV driving Soccer Moms on their cell phone.
