What do you consider a flaw in your Evo?
Aside from Mitsubishi's crummy service, & the tranny and clutch, I hate the cheap, thin single stage paint. I can't drive to the store and back without getting new chips in the paint.

Well aside from the clutch and tranny issues, paint is paint I can live with that. I understand you have to pay for performance so maintainence is cool and I live in Jersey and cruise control takes my enjoyment away from driving I don't need the car to control the pedal for me I am fully capable 100% of the time. Warranty issue sucks too but Mitsubishi has their butts to protect so what can you do.

Less a flaw than a major irritation for me: the weakness of the turn signal return. If I don't make a full 90 degree turn, the stalk doesn't return to neutral. Since I'm tall and the Momo steering wheel blocks my view of the indicator on the dash, I'll drive around with my turn signal on for miles sometimes before I realize that it's on.

Wow, with all you smart guys, I would have thought you would have mentioned the annoyance that the key fob does not have a trunk release. This is bad on a 30K plus car. The lack of cruise control and cheap materials in the interior bug me too. I'll give up the rear window wiper for cruise control.

Then again, if an automatic trunk release requires additional hardware/machinery that adds measurable weight, then maybe not...that trunk is EXTREMELY light.

my car has ~10,000 miles, and i haven't had too much issues with paint ('03 model).
The clutch could be a little bit more "grabbier" (which you can resolve with RRE's no name clutch, which looks exactly like the stocker to avoid warranty probs).
Gas mileage is not really that great, but then again this is a high performance vehicle we are talking about.
negative attention. i don't really have too much issues with cops. i get it a lot more from slow pieces of fwd crap and ridiculously raised pick up trucks with drivers that are insecure about their ***** size. nothing a little push of the gas pedal from an evo can't handle of course.. but still, very annoying after a while. i usually just let em have their "fly by" glory and save my gas and avoid risks of accidents or tickets.
tires.. these advans are very nice and grippy. but with modest driving, i'll probably already need new ones pretty soon with only about 10k miles on my car. well, not yokohamas this time.. maybe something a little more affordable from toyo.
school bus shifting.. little bit shorter throw would have been nice.
rattles from every direction. i have the most annoyingly loud rattling coming from the right corner dash area. it's like embarrasingly loud.. especially when you take a girl out on a date..
turning radius, as everyone mentions..
cheap interior.. i mean dayam... the frickin ac/air controls feel like pieces from a fisher price toy. i feel like i could easily break these pieces of crap off without much force..
bumpy.. personally, i don't mind it and actually like the rock solid feel of the car, but probably many people might not be able to stand it for long (friends, girlfriends, etc..).
needs high octane.
worried someone's gonna f*** with it or steal it when it's parked for long periods of time.
