Laser Emitting Evo

Whats up with my radar detector giving a laser signal when my turbo spools? its not rpm's setting it off (rev'ing does not do it, only when i get on it). I have tried to move it all around my glass but no luck, any one else had this problem?

Possibly interference from that super fast spinning metal inside the turbo creating?

I was thinking that, but the Laser signal would kick in at or around 4k rpms when the first scroll spools, stay on and will not drop off till the revs go back below 3k.

i have the exact same prob..same w. my friend, we both own evos and it only happends when we go WOT..wth?..now i just turn laser off... we both have the 8500

I don't have that problem with my Valentine. But you should try putting a voltage regulator on the line and see if that stops it.

8500 here, dont have a problem though so I cant help you out. I am assuming you've tried it inanother car and didnt have the problem?

I didn't see this thread, just put one up asking the same thing! Mine does it too and it drives me crazy! Everytime I romp on it damn thing goes off and scares me, I need to do something about it as I'm sure we will become accustomed to this and then one BAMM, ticket time!
