Nothing really you can do about that. I notice that was one down side of the Evo when I saw a British documentary on the Evo a little while back.

Yeah, the Evo's turning circle sucks bad. It seems especially bad if you're coming from a German car like a VW that can pull a u-turn in your typical residential side street. A manuver like that in the Evo requires a 3+ point turn.

That's the trade off for having such quick steering response, you give up radius. I take the trade.

The ratio of the rack really doesn't effect your turning radius at all. What effects the turning radius is the stoppers machined into the knuckles which are set at a narrow angle on the Evo to allow it to run Wide tires without rubbing.

of course a pickup can do a better U turn than an evo, its a truck. Thats like saying a Tow truck has a better turning radius than evo...because they do obviously. I noticed this at first, but after a while, you just gota know how to make your U turns properly. i usually start making the U turn very early in the turn and i'll nail it everytime...practice people

Suggestion: turn the wheel all the way, engage 1st gear, drop the clutch at 6000rpm.
