P0300 code on an 05'

Got in the car tonight to drive home from work and noticed my CEL on. I checked the code and it was a P0300. I thought this was only a problem for 03'. Car has cams and has been flashed. I drove on the cams for a month before flash and never had a problem. Could it be the flash? That was only about two weeks ago. That being said, I had to disconnect the batery this past weekend. Could that have anything to do with it?

May have to do with the cams noise level. I did not get it until cams. Make sure to keep an eye on your plugs also. Improper gap etc can throw the code.

No we are not immune on '05's...

shouldn't be the cam noise.... although it's probably due to the knock sensor being super mega sensitive.

That's what dealer flash does, make the stock sensors duller.

Car just appears to set off the light. It does not exhibit the stumble that alot of people have mentioned.

Haha, I have an '03 and I just recently got this code too after installing cams. It's random though, it comes and goes - and I've found usually it'll go on right after I put in a new tank of gas. Bizarre.

I remember some guys said that the P0300 code is usually not a misfire, but some sort of ECU response to thinking there is a possibility of misfire. Some guy said to plug in an OBDII reader into the port and it will go off and you'll be free of the P0300 code. This is an "unsolved mystery" for now.
