Unhappy Is my new Defi Type-D Boost gauge broken

I just got my boost gauge from ups like an hour ago.. I took everthing out of the box and realize that my gauge is reading 4 1/2 psi, so plug the hose to the back of it and blew into it. It worked fine other than the fact its 4 1/2 psi out of wack..

Should I send it back from where I bought it, or is there a way of fixing it..
I just feel like its never going to be accurate now.

I would think fixing it would involve taking it apart. Unless you want to do that I'd send it back.

Thumbs up

Evo#1 - This happens all the time with the Defi D gauges, just return the gauge to the shop you purchased from and they will send you a replacment. Defi is good about covering these types of issues.

In my experience, they're almost ALL like this. Just keep the one you have and fix it.

Yeah one of the guys at 500whp told me that if those gauges are mishandled slightly, they will be off a little bit. Yours is more than just a little bit though.

I got it from lancershop.com, so I called them and told them whats going on with my gauge.
They said shipping would not be refunded and I would have to pay to ship it back.
They also said there would be a 25% restocking fee!

25%! Thats like $28 plus $8.86 that I already paid and another $8.86 to ship it back!
That brings the SUB-TOTAL to $45.72
And the GRAND-TOTAL for one Defi D Gauge is = 157.72

I'm so pissed, they said they would have some one call tomorrow, and hopefuly I won't have to pay for all of this..

Before you buy something expensive and heavy from lancershop.com make sure you realy want and need it and you don't plan on returning it if it don't work.

that's crappy. You should have to pay a restocking fee on damaged or defective items.

What's to stop them then from sending everyone who orders an item a damaged one, then collect +25% because it gets returned?
Better talk to a manager or something.

The shipping you ususally end up eating. Bought a Koyo radiator and it arrived defective. Had to pay the shipping to return, but got a refund without a restocking fee. (not lancershop, but they did advertise a restocking fee also)
