I run the forge BOV, which works great and holds lotsa boost. Smogrunner ran the Greddy Type S, but ditched it for the stock stealth look of the forge. Its probably one of the better BOV's you can get and it won't cost you and arm and a leg.
Call Vivid they usually have them in stock.

i know of people holding more than 30psi with no drivability, leaking, bucking, surging problems. you can call bs on this all you want. but these people are tuning and tracking evos and don't fuddle with the bull****. btw.... robi is one of these people.

For the most part the 1g has been successfully holding around 21-22psi without any leak, on rare occassions, some flutter or leak, but more times than not that isn't the case. The solution to holding more boost and maintaining driveability with the 1g is to compress the springs that release the valves, by taking a 2x4 piece of wood and a hammer and banging it down by force, or slipping a nickel over the hat and placing it into a vise grip to compress the springs. At this point the JDM MR BPV can hold 25psi safely maybe to an upwards of 26psi if you're lucky and the "crush" was done well. Crushed 1g maintains the best drivability and doesn't sacrifice finances and dependabilty IMO, anyhow, it sure beats spending 200+ on a BOV, and the recirculation type will not throw off your MAF, which generally results in running rich and poor idle.
I haven't seen many scoobies run 30+psi, that's pretty extreme.... But any type of VTA BOV with a tune will hold just fine.

Another important thing to know is that once you crush it, you can't go back. You will get compressor surge all the time, because the valve won't open to release the boost pressure unless you get all the way up to the max psi. For example, if you are only running 19psi on the street for daily driving, you're going to get compressor surge all the time, because the BOV won't open below 22psi or whatever.
