You gotta be kidding me. A search on this reveals about 20 hours worth of reading if you really want to know the answer..

True, but every few months some companies revise their products based on customer feedback or complaints. Thus "X" exhaust (or intake or whatever) that was poor a few years ago may have improved in quality or design over time. Moreover, those who have just bought a product may have a different opinion then they do now years later.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. All you have to do is find a local performance-oriented exhaust shop and have them build you a 3-inch (stainless if you like) exhaust system for 1/3 the cost.
It's not rocket science. Mine has a Magnaflow muffler, the sound is perfect. Performance-wise I will put it up against any "name brand" system out there.
Use the money you save for more mods!

i have the hks hi power cat back and it sounded nice even before i put on my apexi dp and perrin test pipe. after i put the rest of the exhaust on it made the sound deeper and a lot throatier. in my opinion i like it better than any other exhaust on the market. but everyone has their own opinion.

Come on people, this isn't rocket science history. Everyone knows that 99% of tuners on this forum recommend the Tanabe Ultra Medalion titanium exhaust. Duh. Ask anyone.

I love my Greddy Ti catback. It is very light and sounds nice at a idle.

Despite what people say/think... it's not always better to spend more money. Getting a local shop to build you a custom 3" exhaust is a good idea.

Ironically, the "best" exhaust for performance gains is also the cheapest --- no exhaust at all.

get an hks its the best. have a 3 1/2 inch piping built and run it back to a hks canister mainly the can made for a supra or rx7 take and have the piping ade to fit the evo and believe me that will be the realest exhaust you have ever heard mine is 4inches back with that same can and I also have a high power hks for sale.
