Grinding Noise around my left wheel...

Ok fellas heres the thing...

I'm hearing this nasty grinding noise from my left front wheel... It occurs when I hit the breaks @ very low speed, it occurs when I let go of the breaks and hit the gas gradually, and it occurs when I turn my wheel to the right (while moving)...

I was thinking that maybe my break pads were worn out, but then why the hell does it grind when i let go of the breaks and speed up,...or when i turn right?

I'm checking on this problem now...Ill be checking back on this post every few min...

Thanks in Advance

my guess would be a rock in the brakes. I've had two in the evo, and many in the rally car.

I have the same problem I honestly can't tell if it is the front or the back making the noise and neither can the dealer. I have brought it in 2 different times so far and so far no luck!

ne griding noise or noise while applyin brakes is brake problem.. jus check how much percent u have left on ur brakes. even though you dont apply the brake it will make noise due to the wear of the pads. but if its metal to metal n most deff you would need new rotors

Its the wear indicators in the pads, its normal for it to do it even if your not on the brakes.

Off topic, but I love the disclaimer. Plus I agree with JDM Fetish, and Big J.

front left wheel bearing may be another culprit

I took a look at it...Pads are still ok...doesn't look like anything is wrong with it really..

Which one's the wear indicator?

When I took my car to the dealer they replaced all 4 rotors just for the hell of it and it did not help the noise at all. All my brakes are also fine so its not them either. The dealership is stumped on what it could possibly be.

I would seriously check the front left wheel bearing. The times you describe sound are all times when it is being loaded. Specifically under braking and turning right.

I have had these exact symptoms on other cars in the past. Besides, checking the wheel bearings is not tough and its actually cheaper than one front rotor!
