Massive Grinding Noise from Right/Rear Passenger Side of the car. Help?

My Rear Passenger side (The wheel Area) is grinding quite heavily. IDK why? When I just start the car and make a left turn I hear a horrible grinding sound. While driving it is intermittent but when I make a left turn it comes and goes on command. The breaks to squeal heavily too every time I stop. The Squeal comes from the fronts. IDK why this is happening but I feel it is getting progressively worse.

I drive a 2006 IX MR with almost 24K on it. I year old exactly. Any ideas?

1. Check all your break pads
2. Pull the rear rotors and make sure the parking break shoe is not hanging up on the inner drum
3. Check the rear wheel bearings
4. Have you replaced the rear diff fluid?

This sounds like a break issue. Pull the wheels, pads, and rotors and check it all out.

If this is the case and the pads are shot at least you know your driving the EVO like you should. Good Work

There is a cricket (piece of metal) on the brake pad that is put there to rub the rotor when the pad needs replacement. This makes a loud noise as you discribe.

metal to metal sound = no meat left on pads
Inspect pads and if not, move to next area...i'm pretty sure it's your pads...

The thing is I am NOT hard on my breaks at all. I dont thing I even onced stabed them. Just mild breaking at best. After I search I found this...

It only happens after a left turn as well it is really strange.

you still under warranty? If you have no mods, take it back to the dealership.

Driveshaft rubbing against exhaust pipe or resonator on HKS exhaust.

or Rock in brake dust shield. (unlikely)

You can just look and see if your brake pads are worn out. Either they have pad material or they dont. (even more unlikely) How many miles are on your car?
