You guys who are going on about how Mitsu is so large and great and they don't care if their little auto branch loses a majority of their profits each year... why wouldn't they just eradicate the problem child? Makes perfect sense to me and you better damn well believe I'd be looking into that option if I were in charge! I give em 1-2 years before such a decision is made or executed.

they need to learn to build decent cars other than the evo. their type of company needs to build desiarable sedans like the accord and such to survive. evos can only do so much as they are such low production vehicles. i also heard that the lost some big trucking contracts.

Here in the US northeast, I see Mitsubishi SUV's here, there, under a rock, over a rock, and in my glove compartment. I don't understand how they could be losing so much money. Personally, I wouldn't mind if they went under... just as long as they stick around long enough to make the Evo X.

(for serious, I used to live there)
They just built a new Hyundai plant in Alabama and the president said they are going to set their sights on Toyota for product quality. Can you imagine that this is the same Hyundai that used to make that crappy Excel in the early 90s?
I predict Mitsubishi is not going anywhere. They are a conglomerate and can absorb more loss than some realize through their other companies. This is the same Mitsubishi that used to make the Zero fighter plane in WWII. They have many, many branches and they have the ability to make quality products, they have just suffered a lapse in management. As quickly as you can get in debt, you can get out if it, especially when you have the facilities they have.
Something they have tried to work on in the past year is being more selective of who they give loans too. They have lost some money in the US on loans made to people who have no intention to repay. I really hope the new Eclipse takes off so the EVO will continue to come stateside for years to come.

need's to straighten out their dumb a$$ dealers and teach them on how to kiss customers a$$es whether they are prospective buyers or current owners
then they maybe able to get out of the $hit hole.until mitsu dealers get a better customer service. no more mitsu cars for me in the future.
