Hey guys,

Just checking out this place. I hoped I could get some advice from you all as well. I have an Evo (VII) but I've recently been doing some thinking and have come to the conclusion that it's not all I thought it would be. It doesn't totally suck, but there are some issues that I did not expect. I won't bore you with a long rant about them all but I'd like to detail a few here so you get what I mean.

For one, I've been having second thoughts about my car's overall look. I usually make a good impression on the girls with my stylin' lights and vinyl, but lately I've been getting a bad vibe from some of them, as if my setup was kind of over the top or somethin. I don't really understand this, I mean don't they want their cars to look good? Do you think I should add some spinners?

Also, there's this trend I've noticed whenever I race fast domestics. I always seem to lose. This really makes me angry at times because I know my car should be able to take them. I mean I always keep my NOS topped off and I know my wing is creating plenty of downforce, so I figure the problem must be that I just don't have enough power. I was thinking about doubling the size of my exhaust tip, how much HP do you guys think I would pick up there?

At first I wasn't too concerned about the performance aspect because I knew I was still faster than most domestics. I could have sworn that these punk *** kids into muscle cars just kept buying weaker ones, because I'd noticed that increasingly fewer numbers of these cars would even give me a race. I knew this was because they were aware I would take them by at least 2-3 lengths, so they wisely stayed away and avoided the embarrassment. But I started to reconsider this reasoning when it seemed like every time they would race me I would lose. What do you all think, do I just need more mods?

And then here's the kicker, I just found out yesterday on this very forum that some muscle cars can f*ck up my engine just by revving their loud exhaust at me! I mean what good is a fast car if it can get killed right off the line by dumb sh*t like that?

Basically, I hope you can see my problem here. I like my car and don't really want to get rid of it, but I really would like to sort out these problems and get back into the groove so to speak.

I think you might have blown the welds on your intake. Check that first.
