how many put tools in your car

I was thinking of gathering some tools that are necessary and put it in some kind of little pouch and leave it in my car(probably 4 lbs max). A philips & flat screwdriver, 1 plier, flashlight and a rachet with only two popular bolt sizes(10 and 12mm). Last time one of my pipes popped off...it was not cool, had to limp home due to no tools in the car. Any other important ones I missed out?

I find that a few zip ties are pretty handy. I carry those in my little evo tool bag with the other stuff. I have yet to blow a hose off, but I am prepared!

The only tools I keep in the Evo are a Phillips head screwdriver and a 21mm impact wrench socket on a long breaker bar. The screwdriver is in case an intercooler hose pops off (it's happened to me twice) and the breaker bar is for tire changes. Trying to remove a wheel with the dinky tire iron in the trunk is murder.

Heh, I carry one of those 100 piece toolkits in the plastic case from Pep-Boys, an OBD-II scanner, laptop, a spare fuel pump, Spare BOV, Stock MAF (as a backup for my blowthrough), Zipties, a portable power source (jump-start battery, but also a backup power source for the laptop), A few clamps in 2" and 3" (for the intercooler pipes, intakes, or hoses), and a few feet of different sized vacuum lines (Both to use to replace broken lines, or to use to tie things up if they become damaged), among a few other things that I don't recall offhand... Its the same stuff I'd take to the track so I keep that crap with me all the time. I also have two of those "tent chairs" that fold up since there's times you want to sit down, or let your passengers sit while your fixing something your sorry *** broke..

Oh, and don't forget to bring a cheap one of those "One time use" Cameras with the film, its invaluable if oyu get into an accident or blast a wheel in a pothole and need evidence in your favor. I have a camera with me all the time anyway, but its a backup.

I've had several issues where something stupid disabled my car, and those were the things I found I used most frequently to fix stupid little problems

Anyway, Choose what you like to keep it at 4 pounds.. I actually have had no trouble with all that extra weight in my trunk, Its all in 2 canvas toolbags that I take out if I go up to the track..

I don't purposefully carry tools, but I tinker on things so much there's almost always a couple screwdrivers in the car, maybe a socket here and there, ya never know

I have an air compressor, a screw driver with removable bits, and a set of metric socket and wrench. Just in case.

I've always kept some tools in my cars. I toned it down with the Evo though - a 10piece screwdriver, flashlight and wrench! woohoo!
