Some good advise there. I am not sure if they have them there, maybe check the phone book. They have lawyers that only do traffic offences that can really help you out. Esp since it was your first offence. With my bike I tend to get tickets all the time, so I signed up for a prepaid legal service thru work. When ever I get a ticket I just give them a call and they will usually help me get off with it dismissed or just have to pay court costs, but no points or loss of license.

First thing the judge is gonna see is the car you have, Strike 1. Then the ticket with racing on it, Strike 2. Then your age, Strike 3. Yer lucky if you get 12 points and your license suspended for a year. Let me put it this way. back in the day I go tmy first speeding ticket. 18 years old with a Porsche, not racing. 20 over the speedlimit. 5 points and license suspended for 6 months. And that was 15 years ago. They are a lot more stricter now. He or she is going to make an example of you. I'm shocked he didn't take your license on the spot, toss you in a squad car with your hands cuffed behind you while your car gets loaded on a flat-boy ready for the impound. But I do have to admit that money talks, sometimes. Good luck.

I dont know if you know how lucky you are to have the ticket down to 90 in a 50...I know in Missouri, double the speed limit is a felony charge for I think they say attempted homicide and wreckless driving. I cant say I havent doubled the speed limit, but I do a dry run of the area first to make sure theres no cops.

I got popped goin 90 in a 50. All you have to do is keep pleading not guilty and take it to jury trial. They'll eventually drop it to a lower penalty. I got mine dropped down to 10 over (3 points) with 8 points already on my license. $70 ticket, a kick in the a$$, and see ya later....
good luck!

Yeah, get a lawyer. My friend got poped racing a couple months back. Here in Cali it was automatic impound of his car and he got taken in! Car was in mandatory impound for 1 month - cost him $900.00 for tow and "storage" fees. He got a lawyer and they got the charge reduced to an infraction (from a misdemenor) and he only had to pay the court $500.00 - that and the lawyers fees. Hey, but no jail time!
Good luck bro,
RAW

Next time you race, bet $500 or more, so if you ever get pull over, you have extra money to pay. (but you must win)

i agree. my brother lost his cdl for racing and they only got him at 35 or 40 over the limit. i guess if your not willing to deal with the consequences then you shouldn't have done it. that is what tracks are for.

Last year i was into the whole street racing thing. We had a very organized system. ( the people who headed it up ). i think there was one crash last year, the guy just never hit the breaks and went into a curb...

I was busted too for "street racing." this was before i starting going ot the (organized stuff) street races. I was clocked at 72 in a 45. Im not really sure how fast i was going, but i kept saying the fastest i went was 65 and that i wasn't racing. I told the cop i was out to have some fun, ( bad idea btw w/o giving an explination ) i added in that the other guy had given me the finger and i was trying o catch up to see what the problem was... that and give it back. The cop gave me a speech about if i was racing it would be impound lot for the car and jail for me. he went to his car and came back. He told my court date, gave me my ticket, told me the fine, asked if i understood, paused, looked in the car, asked if i had a six pack sitting on my seat... My eyes got huge, O ****.. ( i was 16 at the time this happened 1 year ago ) I did have a six pack in the passanger seat, luckly it was a six pack of Yohoo. the best chocolatly drink there is.. he then asked if i had any other questions about court, the charge, etc. I said no, he said well alright, u have a good nite, and tell your buddy he got lucky. ( lol it was one of my best friends ) we weren't actually racing tho. I sped up to 45 to catch him, then he went to 50 sumthing, i followed... that was got us in trouble. o well.

Lawyer down the street brought me a deferal the next day, cost me 215 bucks but no court, no loss of car or liecense, and i had to attend a class...

Atleast you haven't been pulled over for wreckless driving in a parking lot. a cop pulled me over in a parking lot after i had driven in. my passenger goes, "isn't that derek" i look back, hit the breaks and turn hard, I don't think the tires would have normally squeeled but they were almost bald then anyway. so we drive over to where the guy was, he wa talking to someone else in his car, we were just in a circle, talking to one another in the empty side of the movie theatre parking lot. next thing i know, i see this big red truck in my mirror, and i look at my buddies like wtf, there is an empty parking lot and this guy pulls up behind me... i got to move put it in drive, and i see a red flicker.. i look back, its a f-ing cop, i look at my friend and yell GO!, they both take off. cop walks up to my door. and says in a real funny voice,, "yooure driving like a foool" ( yes thats how it sounded ) the passenger in my car starts laughing, im like trying no to laugh, he tells me why he stopped me... i was like office, my tyres need replaced im sorry that happened, he was like, well, i won't write a ticket, but u can't park here for a month... lol. **** happens... o well. i learned my lesson...

haven't been stopped in a while, for anything illegal, got a warning at 6pm ( in the summer ) for no headlights.. same cop that pulled me over for speeding... IM LIKE WTF? dude its f-ing 6.. sun doesn't go down til 9, hello.. ( in indiana we don't change our clocks so yes 9 is correct ) so i don't need to turn them on till 8, ( IN state laws said light on 1 hour after sun rise and 1 hour before sun set and anywhere in between.

Get a lawyer. My roommate got out of a racing ticket last year with a lawyer. Cost him $500 for the lawyer, but much better than the consequences of the racing ticket.
