HKS Exhaust

Hey, I have been doing some searches and many people love the quality of the HKS Hi Power exhaust systems, with the only downsides being perhaps price and the fact that it tapers and is not a true 3" system. Now, I am currently stock and probably will not be running more than 400 whp or anything, so I figure a not complete 3" would still suffice.

Now, I was just wondering if you guys think a Hi Power 30th or Carbon/Ti catback, with the HKS 2.75" DP, and 3" UR HF Cat, sounds like a good system or not? Will they all bolt on fine to the stock housings and each other since they are different sizes? Also, is there another DP I could go with that would fit the system since the HKS SS one is quite pricey. Also, for those of you who have this system or reaserched it perhaps, how do you like it (any complaints?) and where are the best places to find them (the cheapest and reliable still?) So far vividracing is the cheapest place ive found the catback, where else would you suggest?

FYI.....the HKS Hi-Power piping is 75 mm which makes it 2.95" (not 2.75"). I doubt you're going to notice any big difference between this and 3" (which is 76.2 mm). The Hi-Power is designed to mate-up to the stock cat so it will kneck-down at the flanges somewhat.

I have the HKS downpipe and stainless exhaust and could not be happier. Very good sound and increase in power.

The HKS downpipe is 65mm or 2.55". I have it along with the hi-power cat-back and a WORKS high-flow cat. I love the sound, love the power.

BTW, I actually did some minor porting to the flange that mates to the cat to make a smoother transition. I didn't really notice any difference from it though.

There are two different HKS downpipes; one is 65 mm (2.56") and the other is 70 mm (2.76").

Isn't the larger one only available with their turbo kit? That one won't work with our stock o2 housing.

Have you seen the o2 housing that comes w/ the HKS turbo kit? It has a flat flange and is positioned differently compared to the stock o2 housing to downpipe flange. I'm just asking because I'm curious about this as well.

Thanks guys. For those who got the HKS exhaust or downpipe, where did you get them from?
