Question about the MR clutch.

Im about to get an evo and Im leaning towards the regular 8, however I am weighing the pros to the MR seeing if it was worth it, and I was wondering since it is a 6 speed if the clutch was different or just as weak as the 8's. Thanks for your help.

same clutch , different gearbox

what kind of driving are you going to do with your new evo ? long distant, or short trips? i have heard the 6 speed is nice for that extra gear on the long drive. but i think the 5 speed would be more fun than the 6 at the track / strip cause of one less shift.

I can't ever see anyone hitting 6th gear on a 1/4 mile drag strip or a AutoX/race course, if you do, you're doing something wrong

Just my $0.02.

i am more to the point that in a 5 speed you shift into 4th in the 1/4mile
i would think that in the 6 speed you need to shift into 5th to finish 1/4mile

You don't need to shift into 5th until 110 or 111 MPH in the MR.
