There is no absolute best out there, however the Buschur 3" Stainless steel with Magnaflow muffler is reasonably quiet but opens up when you get on the throttle for good power. You can get a 3" Downpipe and 3" High flow cat to make it a street legal system for both sound and emissions.

I'll throw in a plug for Megan -- some dont like it -- I personally love mine! Great price for the TBE! Talk to Zeus if you want a hookup

Its been covered, I'd definitely check the exhaust thread if I were you, I went with the RMR Catback with a UR HFC and an HKS DP.

As far as sound this setup has a nice deep agressive sound to it, nothing remotely pissy. The RMR is essentially straight through eliminating the bend at the muffler for a slant which I dislike a lot, but the exhaust with its straight through muffler/oversized (3.5?) resonators would seem to flow well enough for any setup while maintaining tolerable noise levels. Ive heard the Buschur TBE with a cat and their race muffler, the Helix without a cat, Fujitsubo out of all mine is the second quietest to the Fujitsubo (which may or may not be a good thing to you) but sans some of the restrictions presented by that system as it does not neck down at the resonators.

I hate the look of the exhaust, angled exit, the muffler is nice if you like cannister style mufflers which I dont personally, but the sound and the flow of this system are what keep it on the car for me.

get the greddy ti with the helix downpipe & cat delete. I had the buschur TBE before this, both are great, but the new setup is awesome. The whole exhaust isn't that heavy, sounds great, looks great, and has a huge performance gain! Only down side, might wanna get an exhaust heat shield, cause the exhaust is like one inch short from the end of the rear bumper, not a bad thing, the heat shield makes it looks nice too 8- ) But if u dont have much money to get the above recommended setup, buschur still owns too 8- )
