That's cool. At least it wasn't out of your way. I know how nice road trips are. Me and a few friends went on the Super Street Tour four years ago.

My point was just that a great price on an Evo can be had in Ca. I did the research as well. I also used the list here on the board for which dealers to avoid and which to go to.

You'd think the Evo's in Hawaii would be cheaper (at least the destination charge), being that it's on the way to Long Beach from Japan. They just have to stop and drop some off.

The guy in Hawaii Own's all the Mitsu dealerships. So he controls the market and he can charge whatever he wants. I've sold 5 Evo's to people in Hawaii. Shiped them over and they were still cheaper than the dealers in Hawaii

Those are some crazy markups, I'm about to buy an evo myself in late august or early september, depending on how soon my lancer sells. I'm looking at getting an 05 RS for around 28,000 with a 10,000 dollar downpayment. I'm pretty confident that I could get one for that. My only concern now is wether or not the dealer would be able to get me a red RS or not, seeing as I've never even seen an RS at a dealer ever before...

Do not but the EVO's with the dealorship mark-ups! If people refuse to pay the mark-ups they will be forced to either sit on them, return them or best of all lower the asking price to MSRP.

The dealership over here by me has about 7 EVO's so far, and they are still trying to get more. They told me that they are going to get every color probally 2 of each. But they have only the regular EVO's, no RS or MR's. I asked them why are they getting so many EVO 8's in and no other models. Well it seems like it's a whole new crew and they don't really know about the EVO's. You should of seen the looks on their face when I asked them about the MR's. It was like they didn't know what I was talking about. Hell they didn't even know about the EVO 9's that is coming out for sale soon. Funny stuff but they are trying.

Any dealer that has as many Evo's on their lot as those guys and then has the ***** to try a dealer markup based on rarity is deserving of an a$$ kicking.
