Plenty EVO VIII's on this dealership lot.

Man as I was passing by I saw an assload of EVO VIII's at the dealership. Are any dealerships that you know of locally have this many? They are making it like these aren't limited production cars putting so much out there. They have like 10 EVO VIII's and 1 MR. Looks like there will be plenty on the road this year as I already see a lot of EVO's out in the streets so far.

Is it me or is the dealer mark-up a rip off? The MR is about $42,000 the EVO VIII is $35,900 and the other EVO without the radio, wing, etc. is $28,500.

Son of a Christmas Tree that's a lot of dealership Evo's. I hardly see any Evo's around here. I think I've seen two others in 2 years.

last time I saw an evo at the dealership was back in december I think. And it was inside, a display model, none outside. Then when I went back about 2 months ago, I asked what happened to their evo display models, and the guy said they only get evo's on order now, no more display.

It's weird this dealership leaves all these EVO's out on the streets all day and all night. No gates nothing. Aren't they afraid someone who walks the streets will vandalize it? I would be. That's the reason why they probably have so much is because of the price. I went in thinking I could get an EVO VIII for about $29-32k but then I see the price in the high $35k's and that's not including tax, fees, etc so we'd be looking at $37k just for the EVO VIII out the door.

Dealership here in DFW down the street has 12--three black, three white, a blue, a red, a yellow, and three silvers. Three of those are MR's (red, white, and silver), no RS's I think. The MR's have a $2500 markup just 'cus, and they all have a $300 "VIN Etch" markup. When I was there about three months ago they still had 12, most of those I think are the same ones. The blue one's been sitting at least two months. They've got them just stacked in to about 4 or 5 parking spaces, three deep.

Dame those prices are high. A local suby dealer used to keep their sti's in the back, until 1 night someone came and stole all 4 wheels and left the car on bricks, now they park them upfront near the street.

At those prices they're not looking to sell they're looking to rip someone off.

Is anyone actually paying that dealer markup? When i first sat down with the salesman he started throwing out the payment plans and stuff, and he's like "so we're asking $45,000.." and I just stopped him right there and said "no, i dont think so."

I ended up getting it for less than the $36,700 MSRP.

amen dude, its REALLY a rip off. Dealer tried to start my MR at $45,000. Told him he was crazy, eventually talked him down to 38,200 before taxes. Walked out the door with my Evo MR at $41,250 .... and whats MSRP? 35 or something? rediculous
