List All Your Evo Problems
Cheat paint! Got some chips on hood. Bad design on the cup holders, my arm keeps hitting the straw when trying to shift. No problem with tech. aspect of the car though, get the Evo!
1. Paint on the calipers fading and chipping. I have had all 4 replaced under warranty with no current problems so far. (Knock on wood)
2. Spoiler, clear coat started fading/scratching. Spoiler replaced under warranty
3. Hood Vent fading, dealership repainted
4. Leak in truck from passenger side shock tower, dealership resealed.
5. Paint chips on rear door still, dealerships claims "wear and tear"
6. Like others have said, cheap paint
I'll also add, make sure you choose your modifications wisely. Some mods can compound problems further if mods do not fit properly or poorly designed. Make sure you research all of your options first before spending your money on something that may not work or perform well.

My brake calipers peeled, my wing clear coat oxidized, I had a rattle from a speaker.
All covered under warranty without so much as a second though and now all is perfect.
32k on mine, still stock clutch which is doing just fine. Other than the above, it has been flawless.
As for what people have said about the drivetrain whinning being a bad t-case....thats not exactly true. The car has a bit of whine, but the t-case whine sounds different than the standard noises....its not something that someone who doesn't drive an Evo on a daily basis would know about.
